Sarah Melissa Birchfield

Sarah Melissa was born on July 1st, 1884 in Tennessee.¹   Sarah Melissa's father was William Thomas Birchfield and her mother was Martha Bradshaw.  Her paternal grandparents were Abner Birchfield and Lucinda Hicks; her maternal grandparents were William Bradshaw and Nancy Haynes. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Samuel J., Andrew Baxter, William Harve, David D., John Wesley, Charles Blain, Nancy E., Amanda M., Mary Ann and Blannie.  She was the third youngest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 91 on May 24th, 1976.¹
