William Barnes

William was born on June 22nd, 1816 in Tennessee.¹   William's father was John Barnes and his mother was Catherine Stokes.  His paternal grandparents were William Barnes and Honor Sullivan. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Adam Stephen, Noah David, Benjamin L., Frederick D., James, John, Mary Ann, Susannah, Eleanor and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 78 on May 18th, 1895.¹
