William Allen

William was born in 1844 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.¹   William's father was Adoniram Allen and his mother was Mary Or Polly Cail.  His paternal grandfather was Allen; his maternal grandfather was Jacob Cail. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James N., John, Adniram, Amanda, Louisa and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the seven children.
