John Allen 
John was born in 1825 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.1 John's father was Adoniram Allen and his mother was Mary Or Polly Cail. His paternal grandfather was Allen; his maternal grandfather was Jacob Cail. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James N., Adniram, William, Amanda, Louisa and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the seven children.
