William Porter Slaymaker 
William Porter was born in 1837 in Lancaster Co., PA. William Porter's father was Nathaniel Ellmaker Slaymaker and his mother was Mary Matilda McIlvaine. His paternal grandparents were William Mathias, Jr. Slaymaker and Elizabeth Ellmaker. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Robert McIlvaine, Nathaniel Ellmaker, George Duffield, Mary Matilda, Elizabeth Caroline and Cecilia Porter. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 7 on August 24th, 1844.General Notes
