Mathias Slaymaker 
Mathias was born on December 10th, 1784 in Lancaster Co., PA. Mathias' father was John Slaymaker and his mother was Mary Peck. His paternal grandparents were Mathias, Jr Slaymaker and Barbara Smith. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Amos, Henry, Mary, Susannah, Lydia and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 77 on May 20th, 1862.General Notes
