Amos Barr Slaymaker 
Amos Barr was born in 1835 in Dauphin Co., PA. Amos Barr's father was William Daniel Slaymaker and his mother was Elizabeth Ann Slaymaker. His paternal grandparents were Amos Slaymaker and Isabella Fleming; his maternal grandparents were John, Jr. Slaymaker and Jeannett McIlvaine. He had two brothers and six sisters, named William Alexander, Henry Calvin, Isabella, Jane Dickson, Elizabeth Anna, Faithful Mary, Sarah Rebecca and Martha Catharine. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 14 in 1849 in Alexandria Co., VA.General Notes
