James McDaniel 
James was born about 1716 in Berti Precinct, NC. James' father was Daniel McDaniel and his mother was Sarah Browne. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Browne and Christian Maule. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Nicholas, Archibald, Daniel, Alexander, Mary Ann and Ann. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died after November 29th, 1759 in Craven Co, NC.-
