George W. HAYES 
George W. was born in 1760 in Amherst Co., VA. George W.'s father was Thomas Sr. HAYES and his mother was Mary BLAIR. His paternal grandparents were George * HAYES and Sarah DYER; his maternal grandparents were Colbert BLAIR and Sarah MORGAN. He was an only child. He died at the age of 79 in 1839 in Bledsoe Co., TN.General Notes
MILITARY SERVICE: Revolutionary War--enlisted in No. Car.
MARRIED: 14 May 1785 in Wilkes Co., NC
EMIGRATION: VA > Burke Co., NC. 17 May 1835, moved to Bledsoe Cnty., TN to live with children.
NOTE:
George Hayes served in the Revolutionary War (pension # S1668). December 1781. He entered service of the U.S. under the command of Captain Alexander Ervin from Burke County, NC. He was discharged from service June 1782 in Burke County, NC.
