William Willis 
William was born in 1840 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. William's father was James Larkin Willis and his mother was Sarah Stapleton. His paternal grandparents were Larkin Willis and Mary Reese; his maternal grandparents were William Stapleton and Elizabeth Sizemore. He had six brothers and four sisters, named James Madison Dalton, Iredell Campbell, Marquis De Lafayette, Perry C., Samuel H., Tivis R., Mary Ann, Annis R., Somerville Richards and Penelope E. R.. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Larkin W., Wilson W., Moses, Martha and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 10 in 1850 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
