Jacob Leander Vance 
Jacob Leander was born in 1848 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Jacob Leander's father was Leander Vance and his mother was Sarah Launa Crumley. His paternal grandparents were John Vance and Mary King; his maternal grandparents were William Jacob Crumley and Catherine Greer. He was an only child. He died at the age of 34 in 1882.-
