William Thorp 
William was born in 1845 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. William's father was William Thorp and his mother was Elizabeth Cocheran. His maternal grandparents were John Cocheran and Sarah Or Sally. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Sarah and Emily. He was the second youngest of the four children.
