Gerta Belle Monroe 
Gerta Belle was born in 1881 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee. Gerta Belle's father was John Franklin Monroe and her mother was Cornelia Newman. Her paternal grandparents were Calvin W. Monroe and Mariah Jane Ann Larkin; her maternal grandparents were Aaron Newman and Catherine Tillett. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Ludema, Samuel, William Calvin, James Thomas, Oscar Leroy, John Clyde, Margaret, Rosa Maude, Myrtle Mae and Nannie Pearl. She died at the age of 21 in 1902.-
