Michael Massengill 
Michael was born in 1792 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Michael's father was Henry Massengill Jr. and his mother was Penelope Cobb. His paternal grandparents were Henry Massengill and Mary Cobb; his maternal grandparents were William Cobb and Barsheba Whitehead. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Alice, Lucretia and Susan. He had three half-brothers named Felty Devault, John and Joseph. He died at the age of 64 in 1856.-
