George Maxwell Long 
George Maxwell was born on February 10th, 1818 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee. George Maxwell's father was John Long and his mother was Sarah Ball. His maternal grandparents were Moses Ball and Mary Ann Harden. He had three brothers named Thomas Alexander, Moses and Spencer Ball. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Joseph Kennedy, Isaac David, William, James, Wesley Burton, Andrew Jackson, Ann and Rebecca Jane. He died at the age of 64 in 1882.-
