Joseph Lawson 
Joseph was born in 1844 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Joseph's father was Wilkinson Lawson and his mother was Elizabeth Martin. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Martin and Elizabeth. He had two sisters named Mahala and Amanda. He was the oldest of the three children.
