James Kite 
James was born in 1842 in Virginia. James' father was William Kite and his mother was Elizabeth Kite. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Kite and Susannah Kite. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Philip, George Martin, Fielding Wise, Henry J., Mary Jane, Barbara, Elizabeth and Arabella. He was the oldest of the nine children.-
