Burtis Kite 
Burtis was born in 1892 in Virginia. Burtis' father was Henry J. Kite and his mother was Clara L. Lucas. His paternal grandparents were William Kite and Elizabeth Kite. He had two brothers and a sister, named Collie C., Mohler and Myrtle. He was the second youngest of the four children.-
