Alexander Kite 
Alexander was born in 1845 in Virginia. Alexander's father was David Kite and his mother was Marie Kauffman. His paternal grandparents were Martin Kite and Catharine Kiser. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Alfred Melton, Francis David, John W., Thomas Oscar, Harvey, Eliza Jane, Virginia Ann, Nancy and Sarah. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Charles and Mary.-
