John Clinton Johnston 
John Clinton was born in 1835 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. John Clinton's father was Joseph Rogers Johnston and his mother was Diana Beal. His paternal grandparents were John C. Johnston and Mary Rogers; his maternal grandparents were John Beal and Mary Elizabeth Bertram. He had two brothers and six sisters, named James Matson, Harvey Vance, Mary Frances, Lucy Ellen, Lavinia Walker, Sarah Ann, Alice A. and Matilda. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 71 in 1906.-
