James Isbell 
James was born on August 25th, 1833 in Alabama. James' father was James Isbell and his mother was Elizabeth Birdwell. His paternal grandparents were William Isbell and Sarah Richardson; his maternal grandparents were John Birdwell and Mary Allen. He had six brothers and six sisters, named William, John, Allen, Benjamin, Zachary, Levi, Mary Ann, Susan, Sarah Manda, Margaret, Elizabeth and Lucinda. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children.-
