John Howe 
John was born in 1794 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee. John's father was Jacob Howe and his mother was Elizabeth Groves. His maternal grandparents were John Grove and Anne. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Henry, Jacob, Elizabeth, Catherine, Margaret, Nancy, Christian Ann and Mary. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He had a half-sister named Katherine.-
