Augustine was born on September 19th, 1768 in Shenandoah County, Virginia.  Augustine's father was Peter Haller and his mother was Magdalena Dake.  His paternal grandparents were Peter Haller and Dorothy; his maternal grandparents were John Dake and Catherine Coffeld. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Elias, Henry, Jacob, John, Anna, Catherine, Dorothy, Elizabeth and Eva.  He died at the age of 62 on December 3rd, 1830 in Shenandoah County, Virginia.
