William Hale 
William was born in 1847 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. William's father was William Hale and his mother was Susan. His paternal grandparents were Henry Harvey Hale and Esther Brotherton. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Harvey, John, James, Matilda and Rebecca. He was the third youngest of the six children.-
