William Hale 
William was born in 1819 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. William's father was Henry Harvey Hale and his mother was Esther Brotherton. His paternal grandparents were Ogburn Or Ogden Hale and Lovina Hobgood; his maternal grandparents were William Brotherton and Esther Bone. He had three brothers named Ogburn, Alexander and John. He was the oldest of the four children.-
