Thomas Gordon 
Thomas was born on February 24th, 1786 in , Halifax, North Carolina. Thomas' father was John Gordon and his mother was Anna Haynes. His paternal grandfather was John Gordon; his maternal grandparents were Francis Bythell Haynes and Anne Bell. He had five brothers and six sisters, named John, James, William, Joseph, George Haynes, Nancy Ann, Mary Margaret, Elizabeth, Lucy, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children.-
