May Goad

May was born in July 1892 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.  May's father was Nathan Dillard Goad and her mother was Elizabeth Hamilton.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Goad and Marinda. She had four brothers and eight sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Samuel, Wallace, John Curtis, Thomas, Eva, Nancy A., Sarah J., Alice, Ella, Steney, Sarah, Burly, Sulacial and Goad.  She was the fifth youngest of the fifteen children.
