Robert Wilkins Gillenwater 
Robert Wilkins was born on December 25th, 1796 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg, South Carolina. Robert Wilkins' father was Thomas Gillenwater and his mother was Mary Mallory Wilkins. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Gillenwater and Martha; his maternal grandparents were William Wilkins and Elizabeth Terrell. He had three brothers and six sisters, named William Terrell, Joel, Thomas Jefferson, Elizabeth, Martha Or Patsy, Nancy, Rachel, Mary Ann and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 52 on November 28th, 1849.-
