Ann was born in 1728 in , Prince George, Virginia.  Ann's father was William Eaton and her mother was Mary Rives.  Her paternal grandfather was John Eaton; her maternal grandfather was George Rives. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Thomas, Charles Rust, Jane, Sarah, Mary Elizabeth and Martha.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 44 on November 10th, 1772 in , Halifax, North Carolina.
