Jacob A. Denton 
Jacob A. was born in 1810 in , , Virginia. Jacob A.'s father was David Denton and his mother was Catherine Blessing. His paternal grandparents were James Denton and Deborah Gerow; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Blessing and Elizabeth Messersmith. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert, David James, Susan, Deborah and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 79 in 1889.-
