Margaret was born about 1488 in Of Hornby, Yorks., England. Margaret's father was Richard Conyers and her mother was Elizabeth Claxton. Her paternal grandparents were John Conyers The "Robin Of Redesdale" and Margaret Darcy; her maternal grandparents were Robert Claxton and Anne Stapleton. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Richard, Robert, Percival, Janet, Anna, Margery and Katherine. She was the youngest of the eight children.-
