Mattie Clay

Mattie was born on September 8th, 1772 in , Cumberland, Virginia.  Mattie's father was Henry Clay and her mother was Rachel Povall. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named John, Samuel, Henry, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Tabitha, Rachel, Sarah Or Sallie, Mary Ann, Henrietta and Lettitia Or Lettie.  She was the third youngest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 91 on March 2nd, 1864.
