John Chestnut

John was born in 1840 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.  John's father was Henry Chestnut and his mother was Louisa. He had two brothers and a sister, named Hugh, Samuel and Bitha Jane.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James, David, Mary and Parlee.
