George Buttry 
George was born in 1845 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. George's father was James Buttry and his mother was Jane Ausburn. His paternal grandparents were William Buttry and Levisa King. He had four brothers and two sisters, named David C., Jesse, Jacob, Tipton, Levisa and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the seven children.
