William Bowyer 
William was born about 1787 in Gap Mills, Monroe, West Virginia. William's father was Adam Bowyer and his mother was Christine Louderback. His maternal grandparents were Johan David Lauterbach and Maria Elizabetha Klein. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Adam, David, Jacob, Reuben, Isaac, Elizabeth, Barbara, Susannah, Mary Margaret, Sally and Mary Magdeline. He was the third youngest of the twelve children.-
