William Ruffin Barrow 
William Ruffin was born in 1800 in , , NC. William Ruffin's father was William Barrow and his mother was Phereby Hilliard. His paternal grandparents were William Barrow and Olivia Ruffin; his maternal grandparents were Robert Hilliard and Mary McKeithan. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Robert Hilliard, Bennett, Bennett Hilliard, James, Nancy Ruffin, Martha Hilliard and Eliza Eleanor. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 62 in 1862.-
