Jesse was born on October 5th, 1772 in Chatham Co., N.C.. Jesse's father was Thomas Curran Sr. VESTAL and his mother was Elizabeth DAVIS . His paternal grandparents were William II VESTAL and Elizabeth MERCER . He had five brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named William Sr., Thomas Curran Jr. "Forbush Tom" , John , David , Silas , Hannah, Mary Jane , Jamima and Rachel . He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died in Raleigh, Wake Co., N.C. .-
