Sarah Doan 
Sarah was born on February 4th, 1802 in Chatham, NC. Sarah's father was Ebenezer (twin) DOAN and her mother was Elizabeth STOUT. Her paternal grandparents were John DOAN and Elizabeth PIKE; her maternal grandparents were Peter STOUT and Hannah BROWN. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Ephraim, William, Mahlon, Jonathan, Hannah, Rachel and Nancy Ann . She was the third youngest of the eight children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Nathan, George Washington, Zacharias and Abigail.-
