Rachel Doan 
Rachel was born on October 7th, 1795 in Chatham, N C. Rachel's father was Ebenezer (twin) DOAN and her mother was Elizabeth STOUT. Her paternal grandparents were John DOAN and Elizabeth PIKE; her maternal grandparents were Peter STOUT and Hannah BROWN. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Ephraim, William, Mahlon, Jonathan, Hannah, Nancy Ann and Sarah. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Nathan, George Washington, Zacharias and Abigail.-
