Rachel was born about 1815 in KY. Rachel's father was John BLAND and her mother was Sarah E. LEE. Her paternal grandparents were Osborne BLAND and Letitia (Lettice) "Lettie" HAMBRICK . She had four brothers and three sisters, named Abraham , Permit, James Lee , Zarariah, Hannah , Elizabeth and Mary Lee . She was the second youngest of the eight children.-
