AELFTHRYTH Princess of England was born about 868 in We ssex, England. She
died in 920. OR: ELFRIDA. In Giles' trans of William of Malmesbury's
*Chronicles*, she is given as ETHELSWITHA: "He [Alfred] gave hi s daughter
Ethelswitha in marriage to Baldwin earl of Flanders, by whom he had Arnulf
and Ethelwulf."
