Richard Septimus was born on November 28th, 1840 in Virginia.1   Richard Septimus' father was Thomas Young and his mother was Dorcas Burnett. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John Walter, Lafayette, Robert Sidney, Diana Landrum and Martha Jane.  He died at the age of 48 on August 14th, 1889 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.1
