Daniel M was born on August 12th, 1831.1   Daniel M's father was John Whitten and his mother was Rachel Kenneda.  His paternal grandparents were John Whitten and Phoebe Unknown. He had a brother named John A. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named William T, Cynthia A, Maryanne Elizabeth, Hannah, Jane Caroline and Rachel.  He died at the age of 51 on May 17th, 1883.1
