Daisy L. was born in 1888.1   Daisy L.'s father was John Quincy Adams Simmonds and her mother was Jane Porter. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Horace Greely, Ben B., James M., John L., Millam H., Della, Luna and Anthia.  She was the youngest of the nine children.
