Henry Newton was born on August 13th, 1852 in Tennessee.1   Henry Newton's father was Thomas R Reeder and his mother was Elendor Jane Moore.  His paternal grandparents were James King Reeder and Elizabeth Harris. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named John Wilson, Ephraim T, Laura E, Nancy Angeline, Martha Florance, Elmeta, Phinetta, Harriett C and Georgia L.  He was the oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 55 on February 19th, 1908.1
