Elizabeth Duke,2 Henry Duke1) , married John Waddrop, of
Nansemond County, Va. They had two daughters (and p erhaps other
children): i Margaret Waddrop,7 married Samuel Harwood. (Another
account says her husband was William Harwood, son of Samuel.)
They lived at " Weyanoke", Charles City County, Va. There is a
record of two daughters, though there may have been other
children. a Agnes Harwood,8 married Fielding Lewis (mentioned
later as No. 8, page 53).
b Nancy (or Anne) Harwood,8 married Thom as Lewis,
brother of Fielding Lewis who married his wife's
sister. Thomas Lew is was born November 12, 1760. They
had no children. The Lewis brothers were s ons of Col.
Warner Lewis, of "Warner Hall", Gloucester County,
Va., and Elean or (Bowles) Gooch.
ii Elizabeth Waddrop,7 married Thomas Smith. Their children
were: a Nancy Smith.8
b Sally Smith.8
c Jane Smith,8 married Augustus Olivi er, of Gloucester
County, Virginia.

married in 1788 Fielding Lewis who was born about 1763 and died
June 13, 1834, aged 71. He was a son of Col. War ner Lewis, of
"Warner Hall", Gloucester County, Va., and grandson of Col. John
Lewis III who married Frances Fielding, daughter of Henry
Fielding, of King and Queen County, Va., and great-grandson of
John Lewis, Jr., member of the Ro yal Council in 1715, and
Elizabeth Warner. Col. Warner Lewis married Eleanor ( Bowles)
Gooch, widow of Col. William Gooch (who was the son of Governor
Willi am Gooch of Virginia) and daughter of Governor Bowles of
Maryland. The childre n of Fielding Lewis and Agnes Harwood8
were: i Nancy Lewis,9 died unmarried.

9b FRANCES FIELDING LEWIS9 (Agnes Harwood,8 Margaret Waddrop,7 Anne
Cocke,6 E lizabeth Holt,5 Frances Mason,4 Francis Mason,3
Elizabeth Duke,2 Henry Duke1), married first Archibald Taylor,
lawyer, of Norfolk, Va., and married secondly in 1846 Richard
Coke, of Williamsburg, Va., who became United States Senator from
Texas and afterwards Governor of that State. There were four
children of the first marriage but none of the second marriage.
She inherited "Belle Farm ", in Gloucester County, Va., from her
father. The children were: i Fielding L ewis Taylor,10 married
March 30, 1847, Elizabeth Farley Fauntleroy, daughter o f
William E. Fauntleroy and Catherine Carter Corbin. He was
a graduate of the University of Virginia and of Yale
University and Lieut.-Colonel of the 12th Virginia
Infantry, C. S. A. He was killed in action in 1863 during
the advanc e on Crampton's Gap. They had five children: a
Fielding Lewis Taylor, Jr.,11 d ied at "Belle Farm",
Gloucester County, Va., in 1923. He was a student at
the Virginia Military Institute and fought at the
battle of New Market, Va., with the cadets. He was
afterwards Judge of the Gloucester County Court. He
marri ed in 1889 Ellen Yeatman Deans (died in 1922),
daughter of Josiah L. Deans and Mary Yeatman. She
inherited from her father the estate of "Rosewell",
Glouce ster County, the historic home of the
