Anderson was born about 1888.1   Anderson's father was Lewis B Branum and his mother was Margaret A Perkins.  His paternal grandparents were James Michael Branum and Martha Matilda Elrod. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Lewis Washington, Michael, Robert Theodore, Nathaniel, Cris, Clara, Annie Adiline, Mary Jane, Cora Lee, Thelma Lela, Lena B and Ivory.  He died in 1956.  He was buried in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas.1 1
