Narrative
REFERENCE: 899 Va Cous
Dr. James Jefferson Goode No. 899 in Va Cousins, son of William Goode, No
295 in Va Cousins, graduated at Oakland College, Mississippi, 1851,
served through the war as a soldier in the Confederate army in Virginia,
and subsequently at Vicksburg, where he contracted a disease from
exposure, which resulted in his death soon after the war, at Thibodaux,
Louisiana.
