Came to Texas in 1836. Republic of Texas document No. 2776 dated April 6,
1838 granted him twelve hundred eighty acres of bounty land for military
service from may 10, 1836 until June 3, 1837. In South Carolina for a
whle he is recorded in First Texas census Vol. 1, Sheet 1 as having come
to Texas in 1845 or 1846 and having bought 543 1/2 acres of land at Mound
Prairie, Anderson Co., TX on September 3, 1846.
