Narrative

[Byrne]
Talked with Uncle Victor Jun. 15, 1985. He said Frank J. Hartman had
land across the road from the Catholic Church in Pesotum Il. He
donated about 10 acres to the church for a cemetery. Victor's father,
George Fridolin Hartman, built Frank's house.
Frank's son George had trouble with a girl where he was living and he
came to Muenster, TX. He ask Uncle Victor and Aunt Margaret if he
could stay with them for a few days. He stayed with them for about 8
months. Among one of his many talents was his ability to do away with
quite a bit of whiskey. He married a girl from Lindsey, TX and they
moved back up north.
Joseph W. Hartman, Frank's second child compiled a family tree of the
Hartman - Reinhart family in 1954. I used a copy of it that Aunt
Frances Vogel had to gather information that Aunt Mary Hartman did not
have. Aunt Mary may have had a copy of the same book by the way she
sent her information.
William J. (Bill) Hartman lived on Frank's home place, the house that
George F. Hartman built. (Per Uncle Victor)
Frank (Skip) lives on the home place now. (about 1966) He had to sell
some of the land to pay the inheritance tax. It is close to Pesotum,
Ill. (Per Aunt Mary Hartman).
